Challenges faced

Allow upscaling at any time

A system was to be created in which some edits or changes or upscaling could be done at any time. The previous platform didn’t offer that much of flexibility which was being offered by Magento 2.0.

Extra research to know about the client

We wished to make the site which would complement each and every need of the client. Feeling the paucity of the information provided, we did some of our own research to make the process totally complementing the business nature.

All data and the existing functionalities had to be migrated

The client didn’t want to lose his previous data being gathered on the initial website. He wished to run existing CSV and Excel Tables simultaneously.

Previous design could not be cloned to due to being unappealing

Magento 2 has the option of cloning the initial site. But, due to its unappealing look, it could not be cloned and hence, added more tasks to the list.

Third-party dependence

The previous site was totally dependent on third party extensions. It was difficult to migrate all the plugins.

Most of the users prefer online shopping through mobile phones. Hence, it was really important to make it mobile-friendly. Mobile-First Approach was used which enhanced its data over the mobile screens and proved to be a booster for the lead conversion.

The previous site lacked user interaction. We strived to overcome the barrier by making it more clickable and interactive. Moreover, the brand pages had customized video widget which proved to be a beneficial add-on.

Product availability could be searched with ease

One of the most plausible features was connecting various related products with a unit of SKU, which allowed the user to search for anything brick by brick. The search bar was incorporated with autocomplete and related product suggestions.

Shopping cart price rules are totally customized

The admin could change the price rules by adding on the discounts whenever and wherever required. These were made totally customizable and easy to change for the convenience of the client.

Advanced, flexible and completely secure payment methods

To allow the clients to have fewer worries while making the payment, we have added multilayer protection on the transactions. Moreover, we have integrated CorvusPay for better working. Now the checkout is as slick as it is in their physical stores.
